Background of Curative faculty

Since the inaugurating of Mili University, curative medicine has been providing higher education. This faculty offers 6 years theoretical and practical studies. In addition, it has one-year practical work. Generally, the aim of curative faculty is to have and make sound and healthy society on national level. Approaching its goals, it has offered four convocations for the health service in the Afghan society.

  1. In the first convocation, (2017) 34 students were graduated. 21 were male students while 13 were female.
  2. In the second convocation, (2018) 27 students were graduated. 15 were male doctors and 12 other were female doctors.
  3. In the third convocation, (2019 spring season) 74 students were fully educated for the service of the society. 41 were male and 33 were female doctors.
  4. In the fourth convocation, (2019 fall season) 25 students were graduated. 18 were male and 7 were female.
  5. Currently, there are 159 students 86 male while 73 female students are busy in internship who are about to graduate.

 Medical faculty has had observable promotion in different aspects of knowledge. It has attempted to make academic environment on national and international standards.

Now, 1019 students, 587 male and 432 female students are studying in 25 classes.

These students are taught by 10 permanents and 47-part time professors. The departments which facilitates medical facilities are clinic, para clinic and basic science. Furthermore, it holds successive meetings in order to provide best services to both students and lectures.

Departments of Medical Faculty

Curative medicine faculty comprise three departments in its structure which are Clinic, Pare clinic and Basic Science departments. Fortunately, it uses its full competency to touch the national and internationals standards. As well as, it tries to keep on the educational Journey with other competitors in this regard.

Committees of Medical Faculty

Curative medicine faculty has been struggling to create on academic environment according to the regulations of the ministry of higher education. It was able to arrange seven Sub-Committees concerned   to the principles of quality assurance & accreditation directory. These Seven committees are:   

Quality Assurance Committee, Curriculum Committee, Arrangement & discipline Committee, Strategic Plan Monitoring Committee, Academic workshop & research committee, E-Learning Committee and Examinations Committee.

The mentioned committees are run by specific members. They have their own work plan and timetable for the arranged meetings. Consequently, they give vivid reports of the committees to the presidency of curative medicine faculty.


Curative medicine faculty contains seven equipped laboratories for the students’ practical work. These laboratories as followings:

Biology, physiology, chemistry, Biochemistry, Micro Biology, Anatomy and Pathology.

The practical work of the students is practiced by two professional teachers Besides, each teacher practiced at the relevant laboratories whenever they have their teaching periods. There are four internships along with the professional teachers to help them in their teaching periods. Also, all the laboratories are equipped with the medical and Biochemistry facilities.

There is a saying of a very well-known scholar Motanabi that said, “The preferable sitting is that which is for studying. So, curative medicine faculty wants to practice and bring this formula in its life. Thousands of books are available for three separate departments in two features hardware, software and cozy environment from which the students can enjoy and quench their academic thirst through the books.
