Political Science & IR Department
The Department
of Political Science and International Relations of the Faculty of Law and
Political Science at Mili University operates with a commitment to academic
excellence and innovation in teaching political science and international
relations in accordance with the standards of the Ministry of Higher Education
of Afghanistan.
The department
has graduated a significant number of students, many of whom are serving in
governmental and non-governmental organizations. To strengthen students’
academic and professional capacities, it regularly organizes scientific
seminars, workshops, and academic programs each semester.
The department
is dedicated to fulfilling students’ educational needs through the provision of
academic resources, textbooks, scholarly publications, and translations. It has
contributed numerous graduates to Afghanistan’s academic and cultural sectors.
With faculty members holding doctoral and master's degrees, the department
provides comprehensive theoretical and practical education. Through a
student-centered approach, it seeks to develop students’ academic competencies
and prepare them for professional engagement in political and international
affairs.
Brief History
Mili University
was established under Official License No. 387, issued on September 21, 2012,
and began its operations as a private higher education institution.
Since its
establishment, the Department of Political Science and International Relations
has operated within the Faculty of Law and Political Science, providing
academic services and contributing to the development of qualified and
committed professionals. The department has created a suitable academic environment
for intellectual growth and professional development while continuing to
fulfill its academic, national, and social responsibilities.
To date, it has
successfully graduated seven cohorts of male and female students who are
contributing to Afghan society in various capacities.
Current Status,
Activities, and Facilities
The Department
of Political Science and International Relations operates under the supervision
of a department head and in accordance with the Higher Education Law and the
policies, regulations, and procedures of the Ministry of Higher Education. The
department is currently engaged in a variety of academic and educational
activities aimed at achieving its institutional goals and advancing the quality
of higher education.
