Dr. Basheer Ahmad Habib is  a top dentist and administrator, currently serving as a Dean of Faculty of Stomatology at Mili Institute of Higher Education (MIoHE) in Kabul, Afghanistan. Born in 1989 in Nangarhar Province into a respected family rooted in tradition, education, and values, Dr. Habib has consistently demonstrated excellence in both academic and professional domains.

He began his educational journey at one of Nangarhar’s top high schools (Shahid Mohammad Arif High School) and graduated with distinction in 2008. That same year, he was awarded a prestigious Indian government scholarship after securing the highest score among elite students in the province. This scholarship enabled him to pursue higher education in Pune, India.

Upon returning to Afghanistan in 2012, Dr. Habib continued his studies and earned his MD degree in Stomatology in 2016. In parallel, he obtained a diploma in Radiology from the Ministry of Public Health, further expanding his clinical knowledge and diagnostic skills.

Eager to advance his academic and managerial expertise, he pursued a Postgraduate Diploma in Orthodontics (PGD-Ortho), Certification in Oral Implantology, Certification in Endodontics and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from India. These qualifications equipped him with the clinical precision of a specialist and the leadership skills necessary for institutional development.

Dr. Habib began his academic career in 2018 as a lecturer and technical advisor at Mili Institute of Higher Education. Recognized for his dedication, leadership, and contributions to curriculum development and assuring of quality education, he was appointed Dean of the Faculty of Stomatology in 2023.

Beyond his institutional responsibilities, Dr. Habib is a leading author in the field of dental sciences and stomatology in Afghanistan. He is the first scholar to publish Pashto-language textbooks of stomatology, filling a crucial gap in local academic resources. To date, he has authored six books, contributing significantly to dental education and making specialized knowledge accessible to native-language speakers.

Dr. Habib continues to inspire the next generation of Afghan dentists through his teaching, publications, and unwavering commitment to excellence in dental education and healthcare leadership.
