Board of Trustees (Umanna): Mili University is Moving Toward a Bright Future with a New Vision
The regular official meeting of the Board of Trustees (Umanna) of Mili University
was convened in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Higher
Education. After hearing reports on recent activities and reviewing the
relevant documents, the Board resolved that the current operations, ongoing
plans, and strategic vision of the university clearly reflect its bright future
and potential for significant progress. The Board emphasized that the founder
of the university should continue to support the leadership’s vision and plans,
as this will elevate Mili University’s position as a respected institution both
nationally and regionally.
The session began with the recitation of
selected verses from the Holy Quran by Mawlawi Saeedurrahman Ehsas, Legal and
Social Affairs Advisor of the university, who also offered prayers for the
success of the participants in making beneficial decisions for the university
and the country.
In his address, the founder of Mili
University, Al-Haj Qari Ayar-ul-Haq Shams, welcomed the members of the Board
and reaffirmed his commitment to fully support the leadership of the
university. He urged the leadership and staff to continue their work with
sincerity and assured them that he would stand firmly behind all their plans
for the development and prosperity of the institution.
Associate Professor Khalid Ahmad Habib, the Chancellor
of Mili University, expressed gratitude for the continuous guidance,
consultations, and constructive feedback of the Board of Trustees, noting that
these have enabled the university to navigate challenging circumstances and
maintain steady progress.
He also acknowledged the efforts of the
university’s previous leadership, who, in line with the vision of the founder
and the Board, managed to sustain the institution during difficult times-from
the waves of the COVID-19 pandemic to political transitions-ensuring that the
academic and administrative system remained intact and even strengthened.
In his comprehensive report, Mr. Habib
highlighted the achievements, challenges, opportunities, strengths, and
weaknesses of the university during the past and current academic years. At the
conclusion of the session, the Board of Trustees praised the leadership’s
performance and expressed appreciation to all staff and officials for their
dedication and sincerity in fulfilling their responsibilities.
The Board reviewed and approved the presented
documents, including the new university logo, recently launched bachelor’s and
master’s programs, infrastructure development projects, the national
academic-research conference, tuition and discount policies, strategy, budget,
recruitment procedures, organizational structure, new vision, and plans.
Constructive recommendations were provided to the leadership for consideration
in the future, with the expectation that these steps would further accelerate
the university’s progress.
The meeting concluded with a prayer by Mawlawi
Saeedurrahman Ehsas for the continued growth, self-reliance, and prosperity of
the university and the country.
