Monthly Academic Council Meeting Held.
The September monthly meeting of the Academic Council of Mili University was
chaired by Associate Professor Khalid Ahmad Habib, during which several important
issues were discussed and decisions were made.
The first agenda item focused on the awareness
mechanism regarding the decrees of the Amir-ul-Muminin and the
policies of the Islamic state. It was decided that in all faculties and
academic departments of the university, special programs would be implemented
to raise awareness and promote public understanding. Subsequently, the
procedure for opening complaint boxes was discussed, aimed at establishing a
systematic mechanism to further strengthen transparency, cooperation, and
coordination.
The council also discussed in detail the
twenty-percent examinations of the fall semester. Members stressed the
importance of proper organization of these exams and the need for accurate
assessment of students’ academic levels. The University President, Mr. Habib,
assigned the relevant committee to ensure full preparation for the exams in
accordance with the academic calendar.
Furthermore, the approved papers for the
upcoming National Scientific-Research Conference on “Rational Use of Medicines
and Future Perspectives” were discussed. It was agreed that, considering
academic research standards, valuable content should be organized and prepared
for the conference.
The matter of self-evaluation by faculty
members in three faculties was also an important point of discussion. It was
emphasized that instructors should present self-assessment reports based on
their academic and professional activities, providing essential information for
improving the quality of teaching. The curricula of the Faculty of Medicine and
Faculty of Stomatology were reviewed, and it was also decided that the revised
curriculum of the Faculty of Pharmacy would be submitted to the Ministry of
Higher Education after final evaluation.
The mechanism for students’ practical work in
hospitals was another key agenda item. The council highlighted the importance
of practical training and resolved that a clear framework and procedure should
be developed to ensure that students, alongside theoretical learning, gain
meaningful professional experience.
In conclusion, the Academic Council issued
necessary decisions and guidelines on all discussed topics, aimed at taking
practical steps toward improving and advancing the academic, administrative,
and educational affairs of the university.
