Scientific–Research Conference on Rational Medicines Use and Future Perspectives Concludes
This afternoon, the final day of the National Scientific–Research Conference
on “Rational Medicines use and Future
perspectives in Afghanistan” concluded with a large gathering.
Alongside the founder of Mili University,
Ayyar-ul-Haq Shams, the event was
attended by prominent figures, university presidents and professors,
researchers, and numerous academic personalities.
In his speech, the Chancellor of Mili University, Associate Professor Khalid Ahmad Habib, emphasized the
necessity of organizing this conference, noting that under current
circumstances there was a serious need for a scientific program addressing
medicines. He stated that, therefore, the conference was successfully carried
out to its conclusion with full effort. He also expressed gratitude for the
guidance and support of the Ministry of Higher Education, highlighting that
their collaboration made many challenging tasks possible. Associate Professor Habib further
acknowledged the cooperation of all involved organizations and individuals and
reaffirmed the university’s commitment to continue addressing the fundamental
needs of society through future scientific and research programs.
Following this, the Vice Chancellor for
Academic Affairs of Mili University,
Mohammad Hanif Mu’az, read the
16-article resolution of the conference. Part of the resolution referenced a
published collection of the conference’s recommendations, calling on relevant
ministries and institutions to implement these recommendations practically
within their policy frameworks.
The President of the National Stability
Society, Zia-ul-Haq Amarkhel, delivered a speech
addressing the quality of medicines, the role of investors in this sector, and
the responsibilities of the health sector. He emphasized that without
collaborative work and clear standards, solving challenges in the field of
medicines is impossible. He also expressed hope that the conference’s recommendations
would be incorporated into government policies and strategies, leading to
meaningful and effective outcomes.
At
the conclusion of the conference, the Ministry of Higher Education awarded
certificates of appreciation to several officials in recognition of the
successful organization of the event, and certificates of participation were
distributed to the presenters of scientific papers.
