Monthly Meeting of the Academic Council, Milli University
The monthly meeting of the Academic Council of Milli University, chaired by
the Chancellor of Milli University, Associate Professor Khalid Ahmad Habib, was
held to discuss and exchange views on several important academic,
instructional, and administrative matters.
At the beginning, the report related to student stag and clinical training in hospitals,
along with relevant issues, was thoroughly reviewed. Council members emphasized
that the quality of these programs must always remain a priority so that
students can be enriched with practical skills and professional experience.
Another key agenda item was the review and
approval of the Operational Plan for Student Capacity Building. This plan
includes a variety of academic and practical programs designed to enhance the
scientific and professional abilities of students. In addition, the curriculum
of the Faculty of Pharmacy was discussed, and members shared constructive views
to ensure the program is aligned with both academic requirements and the needs
of the labor market.
Furthermore, preparations for the upcoming
scientific conference of Milli University (The National Conference on the Rational Use of Medicines and its
Future Perspectives in Afghanistan) and the work of related committees
were assessed. It was also decided to extend the deadline for article
submissions, allowing more time for researchers and faculty members to
contribute.
In addition, the Administrative Council’s
Bylaws, the first quarter report of the Quality Enhancement Directorate, the
formal change of the institution’s name to “University,” the resolution of the
Academic Appointment and Promotion Committee regarding the announcement of
vacancies in the Faculties of Pharmacy, Stomatology, Law, and Political
Science, as well as the evaluation of student classes at the beginning of the
new semester, were presented and approved.
