Abstract
In the sacred religion of Islam, protection of human life and health are crucial. Therefore, the instinct and habit of survival and self-preservation exist in human nature. However, the production and trade of low-quality and fake medicines have caused numerous harms to human health. The significance of this writing lies in making it clear to producers and sellers of low-quality and fake medicines that such actions contradict the texts and objectives of the sacred religion of Islam, as well as betray human society. The aim of the research is to clarify the Sharia ruling on the production and trade of low-quality and fake medicines. The main question is: what types of medicines are referred to as low-quality and fake, and what are their rulings in light of Sharia texts? This writing is of a scholarly nature, and the research hypothesis is based on the lack of public awareness and standard research, along with the negligence of responsible authorities. The research findings indicate that the production and trade of low-quality and fake medicines pose numerous risks to human health, undermine the noble profession of medicine, and unjustly consume the property of others. The proposed solutions are to increase public awareness, ensure that responsible parties do not neglect the production and trade of medicines, and that doctors do not recommend such medicines to patients in accordance with the principles of their profession.
